  • What is miTracker?

    A: The miTracker offers a service that lets you, the owner of the laptop computer, track and monitor your registered laptop computer from ANYWHERE in the world and from ANY computer. The remote data deletion function enables you to delete the data remotely from ANYWHERE on your registered laptop computer, if it is ever lost or goes missing. Click here to see how it works.

  • How does miTracker remotely track and protect computers?

    A: There are several guards to protect your computers. Firstly, it can encrypt your specified files which you think is important. Secondly, If your laptop computer is stolen, you can initiate a Remote Data Delete request so that sensitive data on the laptop computer is deleted. You also can send a request to lock your stolen laptop to prevent accessing. Click here to see how it works.

  • Is miTracker secure?

    A: Security is built into all aspects of miTrakcer. Session data is encrypted at the end-points before being sent using a 128-bit encryption algorithm.

  • My laptop was stolen, but I did not have miTracker installled on it. Can you still find it

    A: Unfortunately, tracking your device requires that you had miTracker installed prior to the loss or theft.

  • How do I know if my laptop computer is protected by miTracker?

    A: After installing the miTracker on your laptop, you should sign in to your account at our website and check to see the status of your target laptop.

  • Does the miTrakcer agent software have any adware, spyware etc. that I need to be concerned about?

    A: Absolutely NOT - miTracker agent software contains no advertisements, spyware, in the software you install on your target laptop computer.

  • Do I need to create an account to use miTracker?

    A: Yes, when you install the application, it will guide you to create an account in order to use miTracker. The signup is quick and simple.

  • Does miTrakcer work in my country?

    A:Yes, miTracker will work wherever there is an internet connection.

  • How does miTrakcer know whether my PC/Laptop is stolen?

    A: miTrakcer has no way of automatically knowing that your laptop computer has been lost or stolen unless you notify miTracker using the Online Customer Center (available 24x7 at www.miTracker.com). After you have signed in to your account at our Online Customer Center, you can click on Report Theft/Loss link to report the loss.

  • Does miTracker visually capture/record my sessions on its servers?

    A: Absolutely NOT - all data transfers are encrypted with our 128-bit algorithm. Our servers do not have access to any screen datA: Please note that miTracker is built for tracking and monitoring your own laptop computers.

  • Can miTracker be uninstalled by a thief?

    A: No, we have implemented strong tamper-proofing and only the administrator/owner of the laptop with access to the Online Customer Center can uninstall it.

  • Does miTracker allow me to reach into another PC remotely?

    A: No! miTracker is built for tracking and monitoring your own laptop computers.

  • What platforms does miTracker support?

    A: We support Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7

  • Does miTracker support international languages?

    A: miTracker is currently available in English,Japanese and German language but we are interested in hearing from you about which languages you would like to see in the future. Based on the user demand, we would offer miTracker service in more languages.

  • Where can I submit feature requests?

    A: We love those - please contact us with your wonderful ideas. Please do not hesitate to make a feature request by contacting us. We are always listening to our users.
